Oral History Stories

Three oral history stories have been produced from the individual interviews conducted at the beginning of this project and from the Witness Seminars in 2016. They explore a number of themes in the history of dermatology in Victoria, including the impact that so many individuals have had over the years. They are not completely serious though, as those at the 2015 annual Faculty dinner discovered. These stories reveal the deep satisfaction and enjoyment to be had from being part of a small professional community.
Interviewees included Harvey Rotstein, John Brenan, Peter Berger, Brian Entwisle, David Nurse, John Kelly Snr and Eric Taft AM. Abe Dorevitch, a leading dermatopathologist was interviewed after the oral history stories were made. Please visit the ‘Witness Seminar’ page to see the many people who took part in these.
